Our Photography Club proudly presents a selection of the finest photographs taken by our talented students. In observance of National Nutrition Week, Grade 3 students engaged in an enlightening exploration of the importance of nutrition. Emphasizing the quote by Robert Urich, “A healthy outside starts from the inside,” the students learned about the significance of healthy eating habits and the necessity of avoiding junk food.
Throughout the week, they discovered how nutritious foods, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and proteins, contribute to their growth and energy. In contrast, they recognized that junk foods high in sugar and fat can lead to fatigue and adverse health effects. As a commitment to better health, the students pledged to say no to unhealthy foods.
This initiative underscored the benefits of choosing healthy foods and staying hydrated to enhance overall well-being.
On September 07th Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with vibrant programs by Montessori, UKG, Divyam, and Grade 4 students. Montessori students began with the lighting of a lamp, followed by devotional songs, shlokas, a skit, and a group dance. They also crafted Ganesha idols using play dough. Grade 4’s celebration featured a heartfelt prayer, a captivating classical dance, melodious bhajans, and a skit highlighting Lord Ganesha’s wisdom, concluding with an energetic dance performance. The celebrations beautifully showcased devotion, talent, and cultural heritage.
On 11th September 2024, Montessori students embarked on an exciting field trip to Guindy Children’s Park. The students explored a variety of animals, including spotted deer, jackals, ostriches, and birds. They were particularly fascinated by the dinosaur carvings at the entrance. Throughout the trip, the students recited rhymes and engaged in discussions about the landmarks they encountered, making this educational outing both enjoyable and memorable.
On 11th and 12th September, students from Grades 6, 7, 8, and 9 embarked on an inspiring field trip to the esteemed Lalit Kala Akademi. During this visit, they explored the captivating exhibition titled "Made of Chennai," which showcased a diverse range of paintings by talented artists. Additionally, the students had the opportunity to delve into the gallery’s printmaking, sculpture, and ceramic studios, gaining valuable insights into various artistic techniques and mediums. This enriching experience fostered their appreciation for the arts and creativity.
On 18th September 2024, 325 Grade 4 students, accompanied by their facilitators, embarked on a spiritual journey to Sri Ramakrishna Math in Mylapore, a serene spiritual hub in the heart of Chennai. The students explored the ancient shrine, which is over 125 years old, and participated in peaceful meditation, receiving blessings from Mother Sharada.
During the visit, the students also explored the Math’s bookstore, which offered a rich collection of books on Swami Vivekananda and Sri Ramakrishna, further deepening their understanding of spiritual teachings.
In front of the statue of Sri Ramakrishna, the students sang bhajans, filling the space with a divine ambiance. The day concluded with inspiring messages from the Swamijis, who spoke about the purpose of life and emphasized that following the principles of great leaders like Netaji and Mahatma Gandhi can lead to prosperity and success.
This meaningful visit provided our students with valuable lessons, inspiring them to lead a life of values, purpose, and positive impact.
On September 19th, 2023, Grade 5 students visited SIGA Press to gain insights into the printing processes involved in digital media. They observed the stages of pre-printing, printing, and post-printing, enhancing their understanding of design, machinery operation, and finishing techniques.This hands-on experience effectively linked classroom learning with real-world applications, proving to be both educational and inspiring. We are proud of our students for their enthusiasm and curiosity!
On September 23rd, Grade 1 students embarked on an enriching trip to the Egmore Museum, gaining valuable insights into India's diverse cultures and the civilizations of the world.
The museum's exhibits vividly showcased ancient lifestyles and historical artifacts, deepening students' understanding of history. They were captivated by the rich visual displays that brought the stories of past civilizations to life, enhancing their learning experience beyond the classroom.
This visit was both educational and enjoyable, providing a memorable opportunity for students to explore cultural heritage in an interactive and engaging manner.
On September 10, 2024, Mr. T. Alwyn, M.Tech in Computer Science and an Assistant Professor with eight years of teaching experience, delivered an insightful lecture to Grade 4 students on “The Impact of Spiritual Traditions on Society.”
Mr. Alwyn emphasized how spiritual practices foster unity and equality, urging students to respect individuals regardless of caste or religion. He discussed the role of spirituality in promoting harmony, inclusivity, and understanding within society. His thought-provoking session encouraged students to reflect on the values that can positively shape their behavior and relationships.
On September 10, 2024, Dr. Arunthathy, a Professor of Radiology, delivered an insightful lecture to Grade 4 students on integrating spirituality into daily life through practices such as meditation, yoga, prayer, and journaling. She emphasized how these activities foster a connection with nature, promote inner peace, and support mental well-being, all of which contribute to personal growth and societal harmony.
On September 18, 2024, Grade 9 and 11 students participated in an enlightening session led by Dr. Prasad Ram, Co-Founder and CEO of Gooru, along with his distinguished team members: Mr. Srinivasan, Mr. Sharath Krishnan, Mr. Anand Subramaniam, and Ms. Sunitha Prabhu. The session focused on the crucial topic of "How Students Should Prepare for an Evolving World."
Dr. Prasad Ram shared invaluable insights on leveraging technological tools such as Google Maps and Gooru Learning to enhance educational experiences and everyday life. He highlighted the importance of developing critical thinking skills and maintaining a healthy balance between academics and extracurricular activities to foster resilience and well-rounded growth.
He emphasized that true success is not solely determined by academic achievements but also by the ability to make informed decisions, set meaningful goals, and cultivate a growth mindset. Additionally, he provided students with practical strategies for managing overthinking, a common challenge among today’s youth.
This highly interactive session empowered our students with the tools, confidence, and strategies needed to navigate an ever-evolving world with focus and resilience, ensuring they are ready to embrace their future careers.
On September 13th, 2024, Montessori and UKG students joyfully celebrated Grandparents' Day. The event commenced with a prayer, followed by bhajans, rhymes, and delightful performances by the students. Engaging games were organized for the grandparents, who eagerly shared stories, sang, and danced, making the celebration a truly memorable occasion.
On 16th September 2024, our school celebrated Hindi Diwas through a series of engaging activities. A Grade 7 student delivered an insightful speech on the significance of Hindi as an official language, highlighting its vital role in communication and cultural unity.
Students from Grades 6 to 8 presented a skit that underscored the importance of learning Hindi, aiming to inspire and motivate their peers. Additionally, students from Grades 6 to 9 created and displayed colorful charts as part of a Hindi development activity, designed to foster interest and appreciation for the language.
The celebration effectively highlighted the value of Hindi and strengthened students' connection to their linguistic and cultural heritage.
Congratulations to Thirumalaivasan S of Grade 11 S2 for his outstanding performance at the State Gymnastics Championship 2024! He secured Silver Medals in the Rings and High Bar events, as well as a Bronze Medal in the Parallel Bar event.
Congratulations to Mithran C of Grade 8B for his remarkable performance at the State Gymnastics Championship 2024! He won a Silver Medal in the Pommel Horse event and a Bronze in the High Bar event in the Under-14 category

We are proud to announce that our NCC cadets have successfully earned the prestigious 'A' Certificate for 2024 after completing the written exam, drill, and practical test. Of these, 10 cadets secured 'A' Grade certificates, while 17 cadets were awarded 'B' Grade certificates. Congratulations to all the cadets for their dedication and hard work!

Over 40 students from our school participated, demonstrating exceptional talent, dedication, and discipline. We are proud to announce that Diya secured 1st place in Kata and 2nd place in Kumite at the 3rd State Level Open Karate Championship 2024. This event was organized by the Tetsu Hone Isshinryu Karate and Kobudo Association on 1st September at Queen Mary’s College, Chennai.
Congratulations to Danvanth T M of Grade 5F for securing the 2nd Runner Up title in the State Level Beginners Badminton Tournament 2024. The tournament was held on September 1st at Wesley Badminton Academy, Royapettah, Chennai. We wish him continued success in his badminton journey and future endeavors.

The students from Grade 5 to 12 actively participated in an inspiring rally to promote the importance of cleanliness. Through community engagement and impactful placards, they urged everyone to adopt cleaner practices. This initiative, aligned with the Swachh Bharat mission, exemplified the students' dedication to fostering a cleaner and healthier environment for all.
On September 12th and 13th, our school celebrated Onam with vibrant cultural performances and traditional attire, creating a joyful atmosphere. Grade 3 students showcased their talent through traditional dances, while Montessori students meticulously crafted "Pookkalam," traditional floral rangoli decorations that emphasized Onam's cultural significance.
Additionally, a Pookkalam competition among the houses for students in Grades 6 to 12 added excitement to the festivities, highlighting creativity and teamwork. The beautifully decorated venue made the event a memorable tribute to the rich heritage of Onam.
On 20th September 2024, we proudly inaugurated the "Conserve My Planet" program, an initiative by Schneider Electric India Foundation, at our Space Auditorium.
This participative program, supported by SHARP NGO, aims to cultivate energy-conscious communities among our students. Mr. Dinesh, Ms. Dhanashree, and Ms. Philomina from SHARP NGO led the program, with Ms. Philomina delivering an insightful presentation.
Vice Principal Mr. Anand distributed green T-shirts, caps, and booklets to our young green ambassadors. This event marked an inspiring step toward shaping future leaders in sustainability.
Our Montessori classrooms recently hosted trainee teachers from the Indian Montessori Training Centre (IMTC). Our young learners, aged 3 to 6 years, were working independently and exploring materials with curiosity and concentration.
The IMTC trainees observed the children for over three hours, gaining a deeper understanding of the Montessori environment and the way it nurtures a child’s growth and development through self-directed learning.
At The Pupil, we believe in empowering both students and teachers, striving to give each child the very best. In line with this philosophy, we are proud to announce that 18 of our teachers have completed 600 hours of rigorous training to receive their Montessori Diploma this September.
The Montessori method, developed by Dr. Maria Montessori after extensive research in child psychology, recognizes the innate potential within every child. When provided with the right environment, children flourish into confident, capable individuals. Dr. Montessori herself spent time in Madras during World War II, conducting training to equip teachers with the skills to foster this growth.
Since our inception, The Pupil has embraced the Montessori philosophy, and we are committed to carrying forward this remarkable legacy. Montessori Education at The Pupil is truly special, and I am deeply grateful to all the parents for their continued trust and support.
