Building Financial Foundations: Grade 4 Workshop with Kavitha Swaminathan

On November 7, 2024, Grade 4 students participated in an insightful Financial Literacy Workshop led by Ms. Kavitha Swaminathan, Founder of Vlinder Learning. The workshop aimed to introduce students to essential money management skills, laying the groundwork for strong financial foundations from an early age.

During the session, Ms.Kavitha Swaminathan engaged students with interactive activities, such as riddles and real-life examples, to help them understand key concepts like differentiating between "needs" and "wants," tracking expenses, and developing smart saving habits.

The workshop also featured an inspiring discussion on the philanthropic contributions of Jamsetji Tata, highlighting the importance of giving back to society. To conclude the session, students took part in a global currency symbol activity, expanding their understanding of financial systems beyond local currencies.

This workshop provided valuable knowledge and encouraged students to think critically about their financial futures. We extend our gratitude to Ms.Kavitha Swaminathan for her insightful guidance, which has inspired our students to approach money management responsibly and thoughtfully.
