Celebrating International Olympic Day with Enthusiasm and Learning

Students of Grades 4 and 5 enthusiastically celebrated International Olympic Day on 25th June 2025 through a series of engaging and educational activities that fostered awareness of Olympic values and global sporting culture.

As part of the celebration, students designed creative mascots symbolising the core Olympic values of courage, unity, and perseverance. These mascots showcased the students’ creativity and their understanding of the Olympic spirit.

Each student also selected a sport of their choice—such as basketball, football, kabaddi, or badminton—and created vibrant posters. These posters presented the rules, basic techniques, and historical background of the sport, enabling students to gain a deeper appreciation of its global and cultural significance.

In addition, students researched and wrote short biographies of renowned Olympic athletes, including Neeraj Chopra, P.V. Sindhu, Usain Bolt, and Simone Biles. Their work highlighted the athletes' major accomplishments, the challenges they overcame, and their inspirational journeys.

The celebration not only enhanced students’ knowledge of sports and athletes but also inspired them to embrace the Olympic ideals of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork in their everyday lives.
