The greatness of a culture can be found in its festival and one such grandeur day is Thai Pongal.
We at The Pupil International School captured the spirit of Pongal in a splendid manner. The celebrations started off with a Tamil prayer song, followed by an exclusive Villupattu by our teachers. Our IB students performed Pongal-themed traditional dances such as Oyilattam, Kummi, and Kolattam. Traditional Pongal making on an earthen pot added glory to our celebrations. Our kindergarteners enjoyed the Bullock cart rides while our primary and middle schoolers played different games such as Uriyadi and Tug of war. Students also participated in Pot painting and Rangoli events that made the occasion colourful and vibrant.
The grand event brought in the gaiety of Pongal and ended with relishing the sweet Pongal.
