Exciting Cultural Heritage trip to the Ajanta and Ellora caves

Students of Grades 8 and 9 from The Pupil Saveetha Eco School embarked on an exciting Cultural Heritage trip to the Ajanta and Ellora caves from October 4th to 8th 2024. With expert guidance from Mrs. Umayal Subramanian of Heritage India Trails, they gained deeper insights into the rich history and artistry of these UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

At Ajanta, the students explored the magnificent paintings and sculptures that narrate ancient stories. The following days were spent discovering Ellora's awe-inspiring rock-cut caves, visiting the historic Daulatabad Fort, and marveling at the architectural beauty of Bibi Ka Makbara. The trip concluded with local shopping, adding a fun and memorable end to the adventure.

This cultural experience enhanced their understanding of our heritage and fostered a sense of pride in their roots.  A  heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Umayal Subramanian and Mr. Rajaraman Pattabiraman for their insightful guidance and for providing an unforgettable experience!  Looking forward to more such enriching experiences in the future!

Navaratri Celebrations with Montessori, Divyam & UKG

On October 4th, 2024, Montessori, Divyam, and UKG students came together to celebrate Navaratri with devotion and joy.

The UKG children, dressed as Ganesha, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Shiva, Durga, and Muruga, brought the festival to life with their vibrant costumes and lively performances.

In addition, Montessori and Divyam students enchanted the audience with their soulful singing,highlighted the cultural richness of Navaratri, creating cherished memories for everyone. 

A Journey into Eco-Friendly Transport: Students Visit Chennai Metro Rail Limited

On October 4, 2024, Grade 4 students from The Pupil Saveetha Eco School visited Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) in Nandanam as part of their "How the World Works" theme. This field trip offered valuable insights into the metro system's operations and its sustainable practices.

Students toured the railway station and participated in an informative presentation that highlighted CMRL's initiatives, including regenerative braking, the creation of Miyawaki mini-forests, and the installation of solar panels. These efforts exemplify CMRL's commitment to reducing the city's carbon footprint and promoting eco-friendly urban transport.

Overall, the experience significantly enhanced students' understanding of environmental conservation and sustainable development in urban contexts.

Navaratri Celebrations with Grade 5

On 1st October 2024, our Grade 5 students celebrated the vibrant festival of Navaratri with enthusiasm and devotion.

The event commenced with soulful devotional songs and beautiful dance performances, followed by an engaging play portraying the various forms of Goddess Durga, symbolizing strength and grace.

The program concluded with a lively and colorful dandiya performance, showcasing the talent and energy of our students. It was a wonderful celebration of culture, devotion, and festivity!
