Guest Lecture by Mr. T. Alwyn: Spiritual Traditions and Societal Unity

On 10th September 2024, Mr. T. Alwyn, M.Tech in Computer Science and an Assistant Professor with eight years of teaching experience, delivered a lecture to Grade 4 students on “The Impact of Spiritual Traditions on Society.”

Mr. Alwyn emphasized how spiritual practices foster unity and equality, urging students to respect individuals regardless of caste or religion. He discussed the role of spirituality in promoting harmony, inclusivity, and understanding in society. His thought-provoking session encouraged students to reflect on the values that can positively shape their behavior and relationships.

Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations: A Fusion of Devotion, Talent, and Cultural Heritage

 On September 6th, 2024, the students of Grade 4, Montessori, UKG, and Divyam came together to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with exceptional enthusiasm, showcasing their devotion and talents. The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp and a heartfelt prayer, followed by a captivating classical dance performance by Grade 4 students, exemplifying grace and expression. Their harmonious rendition of bhajans in praise of Lord Ganesha resonated deeply, enchanting the audience with melodious tunes.

Montessori, UKG, and Divyam students contributed to the vibrant program with devotional songs, shlokas, and a group dance, fostering a lively and festive atmosphere. A thought-provoking skit performed by the Grade 4 students highlighted Lord Ganesha’s wisdom and the importance of knowledge. The celebration concluded with an energetic dance performance, filling the air with joy and excitement.

As part of the festivities, the younger students also engaged in creative activities, crafting Lord Ganesha idols using play dough, symbolizing their artistic expression and connection to tradition. 

Divyam Students' Hands-On Experience at Farm Guru

On September 5th, Divyam students visited Farm Guru for an enriching experience. The day began with an informative talk about the importance of farming and the lives of farmers, followed by a delightful organic breakfast.

Students participated in various agricultural activities, including ploughing the field and sowing seeds in marshland. They also engaged in threshing, pounding, and enjoyed playing with farm animals, along with a bullock cart ride.

The day concluded with a traditional lunch and had a dive into the water. It was a memorable day filled with learning and adventure!

A Journey Through History: A Memorable Five Days School Trip to Mysore

From August 22 to 26 students from Grade 6 and 7 of The Pupil Saveetha Eco School embarked on an exciting five days educational trip to Mysore, blending learning with adventure. The trip provided a unique opportunity to explore historical landmarks, experience culture and heritage, and create lasting memories.

Mysore Palace 
The majestic Mysore Palace was a highlight of the trip, where students marveled at the stunning architecture and rich history. They also enjoyed a captivating light and sound show that brought the palace's past to life.

Shravanabelagola 
Another significant destination was Shravanabelagola, where students climbed 700 steps to see the iconic Gommateshwara statue which is 57 feet tall. The breathtaking views from the top made the climb worthwhile, and they captured the moment with plenty of photos.

Talakadu 
In Talakadu, students explored the Keerthinarayana Temple, learning about its fascinating history, including how it was buried under sand for centuries due to a queen's curse, as well as the archaeological discoveries that uncovered its hidden past. They also enjoyed the scenic beauty along the banks of the Cauvery River.

Mysore Zoo 
The Mysore Zoo was a thrilling experience where students encountered diverse wildlife and learned about conservation efforts. It was an exciting and educational outing that deepened their appreciation for nature.

Shopping and Reflection 
The trip concluded with a shopping spree, allowing students to pick up souvenirs to remember their trip. As they returned to Chennai on the Shatabdi Express, they reflected on the rich history they had learned and the friendships formed during this unforgettable journey.
