Empowering Educators: Theatre in Education Workshop Highlights

On 29th May 2024 Mr. Yugesh Ramachandran and Ms. Indulekha from Crea Play conducted an inspiring workshop on "Theatre in Education," empowering educators to utilize theatre and participatory drama techniques for teaching curriculum subjects, addressing social justice issues, and shaping attitudes. The workshop skillfully facilitated group cohesion through engaging activities like 'Catch My Name' and 'Quick Gun Murugan,' fostering collaboration and a sense of safety for learning. This interactive approach proved more effective than traditional introductions. Participants also benefited from practical exercises on voice modulation, body language, improvisation, and collaborative storytelling. Understanding the role of learning aids was emphasized, aiding in personal growth, social education, and language skills development. Moreover, shedding performance inhibitions equips learners to confront challenges confidently in their careers or entrepreneurial endeavors. The overwhelmingly positive feedback underscores the workshop's transformative impact. 

 

Empowering Growth: Squadron Leader Unni Nair's Inclusive Faculty Development Program

On 27th May"Squadron Leader Unni Nair spearheaded an enriching faculty development endeavor, expertly incorporating activities grounded in Gardner's Multiple Intelligence theory. Through innovative ice-breaking strategies and immersive role-play exercises, participants actively engaged in fostering creativity and collaborative synergy. Multimedia presentations featuring eminent personalities like Nick Vujicic and Kodi Lee underscored the values of resilience and gratitude. Structured challenges, including numerical sequencing tasks and linguistic adaptations, facilitated cognitive enrichment and cultural appreciation. By prioritizing the conquest of fears and embracing diverse modes of intelligence through music, dance, and language, the program cultivated an environment where individuals could fully harness their potential within a supportive and vibrant educational setting. 

Empowering Educators: CBSE Stress Management Workshop at The Pupil Saveetha Eco School

The Pupil Saveetha Eco School organized a CBSE workshop on "Stress Management," attended by 60 teachers on May 28, 2024. Under the guidance of Mrs. Padmini Sriraman and Mrs. Indra Vijayakumar, the workshop equipped teachers with effective strategies to manage academic pressures.  Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, educators learned to identify stressors, implement coping techniques, and create supportive classroom environments, enhancing their well-being and fostering a healthier learning atmosphere for students.

CBSE workshop on Strengthening Assessment and Evaluation Practices

The Pupil Saveetha Eco School organised a two day CBSE workshop on "Strengthening Assessment and Evaluation Practices," attended by their 60 teachers on 23rd and 24th of May, 2024. The aim was to enhance teachers' proficiency in modern assessment techniques, emphasizing formative and summative assessments, effective question paper design, the use of rubrics, and the integration of technology. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises,the resource persons Mrs Sundari P.N , and Mrs Gowri Lakshmi ensured that teachers gained valuable insights and skills to implement more effective and equitable assessment practices in their classrooms, committing to continuous improvement and collaboration.
