Exploring Ecosystems: A Guest Lecture for Grade 2 Students 


On August 21st, 2024, our Grade 2 students engaged in a detailed inquiry into animal classification and environmental impact. Ms. Sripriya Srini, a volunteer from NGO Bhumi, delivered an informative guest lecture, addressing the significant effects of human activities on ecosystems, including habitat loss and species extinction. She emphasized the interconnectedness of ecosystems and encouraged students to raise awareness about global warming and climate change.

A Day of Unity and Patriotism: 78th Independence Day Celebrations at The Pupil School

The Pupil School proudly celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm.  The event commenced with our NCC cadets and school band honoring both our Chief Guest, Captain Kuldeep Tripathi, a distinguished Indian Navy officer with 24 years of service, and our Founder President & Chancellor, Dr. N.M. Veeraiyan. 

Captain Tripathi, hailing from Haldwani, Uttarakhand, boasts a remarkable career as a pilot in Maritime Reconnaissance, with over 3,000 flight hours and experience commanding naval ships and air stations. His service has been recognized with prestigious commendations, and his presence added immense value to our celebrations. 

Our Founder President & Chancellor, Dr. N.M. Veeraiyan, presided over the function, further elevating the day's significance. The celebration included a flag hoisting ceremony, an impressive NCC parade, and a motivational address by Captain Tripathi, inspiring everyone with his dedication and patriotism. 

The event concluded with a cultural program featuring soul-stirring patriotic songs and a captivating group dance, beautifully paying homage to our nation. 

This Independence Day was a true reflection of our school's commitment to honor our heroes and embrace our rich heritage.

Guest Lecture on Horticulture Therapy 

On August 20, 2024, The Pupil Saveetha Eco School hosted an insightful session by Dr. Shamili Thirumaran, a former dental surgeon and psychological counselor, who pioneered "Horticulture Therapy."  Dr. Shamili demonstrated the mental health benefits of terrace gardening and seed ball creation. Students enthusiastically participated in hands-on activities, learning sustainable practices and deepening their connection with nature. 

The Chennai B Quest 2024: A Thrilling Showcase of Talent and Innovation at The Pupil Saveetha Eco School!

On August 9th, 2024, The Pupil Saveetha Eco School proudly hosted The Chennai B Quest 2024 Inter-School Business Challenge, bringing together over 450 contestants from more than 20 top schools across Chennai. This prestigious event, designed to inspire entrepreneurship and innovation among Grades 11 and 12 students, showcased a spectacular display of talent.

 With 90+ enthusiastic teams competing in activities such as Shark Tank, Adzap, Logo & Slogan, and the Business Quiz, the atmosphere was electric, filled with creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.

Congratulations to all the winners and participants for their outstanding creativity and hard work! The entire event awarded prizes worth a total of ₹50,000 across various competitions, celebrating the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation.
